In March I got contact with an old friend of mine in Chile: Vilma Salazar. She proposed to knit a cap for me. This was a way to further develop the project. She send me the cap with my sister who was about to visit me. I knitted a cap for her as well and sent it through my sister on her way home to Chile. |

For the 2016 Torrlösa Happening
I participate with the two-women knit-performance "A welcome cap for Bassam and Zaher". They are my new friends from Syria now living in Torrlösa. I knitted a cap for Zaher and a part of the cap for Bassam. As I was in New York the day of the happening I invited Lelis Zunino, one of my first contacts who got a cap, to end the cap during the happening. She did it, very well. |
